We are a photography and video visual studio located in uptown Charlotte at Southend. As of 2014, we operate Authentic Exposure LLC for our wedding clients and The Good Light LLC for our corporate work.
In 2009, Adam Coker of the Lake Norman area started marketing his photography and video work under the name Authentic Exposure. At the time, most of our work was wedding photography; however, we dove into the new video capabilities of SLR cameras when the Canon 5D Mark II was released. This new revolution transformed the way “video” was perceived for most people looking to hire a “videographer,” and we quickly became a leader in the Charlotte and Southeast region for DSLR video content in the wedding industry, as well as the business and non-profit industries. By 2011, we started being commissioned for production of commercial films for large corporate social media campaigns, as well as production of commercials, and worked on our first documentary, “The Short Game,” filmed in 2011 and 2012 here in NC. “The Short Game,” directed by Josh Greenbaum, went on to win the Audience Award in the Documentary Feature category during the 2013 South by Southwest Film Festival.
We currently do most of our work within 300 miles of Charlotte, including Asheville, Greensboro, Boone, Raleigh, Atlanta and Charleston.
Adam Coker, the principal photographer and filmmaker of Authentic Exposure, lives in Cornelius in the Lake Norman area.
